We leave for the Windy City in 2 hours! Yay! My sis is going to be very brave and play the part of SuperMom while I'm gone, so everybody keep your fingers crossed that she survives. ; ) Kidding, I know she'll do great! This will be the longest we've ever been apart from Norah, and I'm hoping that maybe the 2 days will be long enough for her to somehow magically forget about nursing. If not, then we're going to have to really buckle down and try to get her weaned when we go on our Ultimate Mystery Road Trip at the end of the month.
I have loved nursing her so much, and it breaks my heart to think about her being totally "on her own," but I think the time is really coming... She's almost 18 months old now, and I'm 3 months pregnant. A little break in between babies would be nice! I'm sure tandem nursing is a beautiful thing, but I'm just not sure I could pull it off!
Other random notes:
I got my maternity clothes hung up and all of my silly size 25 jeans stored safely away where I don't have to look at them while I morph into a marshmallow. I tried some on earlier today and it was a pretty hysterical event. Thank goodness for yoga pants! Also thank goodness for shirts that send the not-so-subtle "I'm pregnant, not fat" message for these silly in-between times. I can't wait to be fully showing already!

Also, the pumpkins that Bear and I planted on the windowsill are growing. Only problem is, what the heck do I do with them now?

Well, off to eat a yummy turkey sandwich and finish packing. Chicago, here we come!

You give the pumpkins to me, and Joe and I grow them!
