Norah this morning

Motivational Monday - 10/25/10 Edition

From the "Inspiration" file on my iPhone, here's a thought that helps keep me going in the right direction!

Getting sad and giving up will only make things worse! Just keep going and they will eventually get better!

Go Bear Go!

I really love getting to watch my kiddos play sports. I even thoroughly enjoyed watching Bear play football last year despite the fact that a lot of his time on the field was spent spinning in circles, kicking the dirt and staring up at the sky rather than actually playing! This year, though, he really started to get the hang of it! He made a bunch of good runs and catches, as well as several touchdowns, throughout the season. Here are some pictures we took at his last game.

Here I am trying to keep Shiloh warm... It was pretty chilly out!

This is Norah's latest reaction to having her picture made. Fabulous! I had to stalk her with the long lens to get the rest of the images of her in this post!

Bear's getting so big! And handsome!

I just put this one in because I think her little silver high tops are so cute!

Norah really enjoyed sitting on the sidelines with her big brother.

Unfortunately, she also enjoyed running out onto the field (during the game!) like a maniac. She is surprisingly hard to catch!

Speaking of which... Note the little 2-year-old head sneaking into the bottom of this photo. Silly girl!

Here he is with his signature Game Face!

Somehow he managed to make it through all these guys to get the touchdown!

Going in for the score!

I guess this was our last flag football game, at least until Shiloh gets older, because believe it or not, next year, Bear will be playing tackle! Crazy!

Hanging on!

Well, we're hanging on around here. Some days it feels like we barely make it through, but most days are pretty good. I'm pretty sure that without all of Jason's help (and the help of my AWESOME family), I would just give up!

There are other moms out there who have 4 children, right? I would really like to know how they manage to get everything done that needs done, preferably without totally losing their minds. I feel like I need more hours in the day!

Part of the problem is that the only time I can really get anything much done is in the evening, after all the kiddos are in bed. But that is the time of day that I want nothing more than to cuddle up next to Jason on the couch with Shiloh sleeping sweetly on my chest and enjoy feeling happy for a bit. Speaking of which... The couch is calling! Good night!

It's the mooooost wonderful tiiiime... Of the year!

Well, almost anyway.

I'm just getting excited because I officially started my Christmas shopping this week! How fun! I also just ordered the most amazing prop ever for our Christmas card photo shoot! No, I'm not going to spill the beans about what it is... You will just have to wait and find out with the card! It's pretty awesome though. I can't wait!!!

10 Years... Help!!!

At long last, it is time for the Class of 2000 to have their 10 Year High School Reunion! Crazy!

For those of you who didn't know me "back in the day," I actually graduated in 1999. This was because I was a teenager, and therefore insane, and thought I wanted to finish high school early. If you follow this blog, you know how that went! Despite my 1999 graduation, I spent the vast majority of my school career as a member of the Class of 2000. Which means that it is time for our 10-year-reunion! Somehow I find this to be very surprising, despite the fact that I actually graduated 11 years ago, so you would think I would be ready for it by now!

Anyway, I've been very chill about this whole reunion business up to now. It miraculously got scheduled for a weekend where we didn't have a wedding, I'm relatively okay with the way I look (despite the fact that the reunion would, of course, have to take place two and a half months after I gave birth to my FOURTH child!), and I was even planning on wearing the outfit I shoot weddings in to the big event on Saturday, just to keep things simple. Here is a snapshot of the outfit I'm talking about that Jason took while he was setting up light for a portrait at Anna and Austin's wedding a few weeks ago:

Now all of a sudden, the reunion is THIS WEEKEND, I still have a ton of baby weight to lose, I have one pair of jeans that fits, I am white as a ghost and I'm beginning to wonder if I don't hate that outfit!?! I liked it until I saw this picture, and now I'm totally concerned that it might not be exactly flattering to what little bit of a waist I actually have! Stress!

I also have outfits (also that I already own) picked out for the tailgate party on Friday and the family picnic on Saturday, but what about them? Are they okay? And what on earth are all the children going to wear!

*DEEP BREATHS*

*MORE DEEP BREATHS*

Okay, I'm at least partly done with my panic attack. I think. But just in case, I'm off to the mall to try and see if I can find some outfit that is not too casual and not too dressy and is also at least reasonably flattering to wear on Saturday night. And maybe also some accessories, which I will have to have the girls that work in the stores help me with, because I am HOPELESS at accessorizing.

Oh, and I'm also bringing all 4 kids with me. This should go well.

Wish me luck!!!

***UPDATE: Outfit found, crisis averted! Thank you Jamie and Jennifer for all your help! Now I can spend the week relaxing... Or editing about a million pictures while also working out about an hour a day and keeping up with 4 kids. Just whichever. ; )
