For those of you who didn't know me "back in the day," I actually graduated in 1999. This was because I was a teenager, and therefore insane, and thought I wanted to finish high school early. If you follow this blog, you know how that went! Despite my 1999 graduation, I spent the vast majority of my school career as a member of the Class of 2000. Which means that it is time for our 10-year-reunion! Somehow I find this to be very surprising, despite the fact that I actually graduated 11 years ago, so you would think I would be ready for it by now!
Anyway, I've been very chill about this whole reunion business up to now. It miraculously got scheduled for a weekend where we didn't have a wedding, I'm relatively okay with the way I look (despite the fact that the reunion would, of course, have to take place two and a half months after I gave birth to my FOURTH child!), and I was even planning on wearing the outfit I shoot weddings in to the big event on Saturday, just to keep things simple. Here is a snapshot of the outfit I'm talking about that Jason took while he was setting up light for a portrait at Anna and Austin's wedding a few weeks ago:

Now all of a sudden, the reunion is THIS WEEKEND, I still have a ton of baby weight to lose, I have one pair of jeans that fits, I am white as a ghost and I'm beginning to wonder if I don't hate that outfit!?! I liked it until I saw this picture, and now I'm totally concerned that it might not be exactly flattering to what little bit of a waist I actually have! Stress!
I also have outfits (also that I already own) picked out for the tailgate party on Friday and the family picnic on Saturday, but what about them? Are they okay? And what on earth are all the children going to wear!
*DEEP BREATHS*
*MORE DEEP BREATHS*
Okay, I'm at least partly done with my panic attack. I think. But just in case, I'm off to the mall to try and see if I can find some outfit that is not too casual and not too dressy and is also at least reasonably flattering to wear on Saturday night. And maybe also some accessories, which I will have to have the girls that work in the stores help me with, because I am HOPELESS at accessorizing.
Oh, and I'm also bringing all 4 kids with me. This should go well.
Wish me luck!!!
***UPDATE: Outfit found, crisis averted! Thank you Jamie and Jennifer for all your help! Now I can spend the week relaxing... Or editing about a million pictures while also working out about an hour a day and keeping up with 4 kids. Just whichever. ; )

LOL, you crack me up Kori! But, I have to admit, I have been through the EXACT same range of emotions this week! Remember, though, you won't be the only one who has recently given birth. And besides...you look fantastic, so stop stressing already! Can't wait to see you and I am so glad it fell on a weekend you didn't have a wedding :)
ReplyDeletep.s. Chris and I just took our 2 kids with us reunion clothes shopping yesterday and it was quite the circus...I can only imagine it with 4! Good luck! :)
You look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! Jessica, I know I'm not the only one who just had a baby, but that doesn't make my pants fit any better! ; ) Seriously, though, I'm glad I'm not alone here. That does make it easier!
ReplyDeleteAnd also, like the update said, I did find an outfit. Who knows if it's actually "right" or not, but it looks okay and is very comfortable, so it won! I can't wait for this weekend! : )
I can't wait to hear all about it! I'm sure you'll take lots of pictures. :)
