Pumpkin Party!

Last night we decided it was finally time to carve the pumpkins that had been sitting on the porch since our Pumpkin Patch Adventure a couple of weeks ago. It was so much fun! We drew out the designs we wanted to do on paper first, then sketched them onto our pumpkins. After that, we hollowed them out and got to carving. Then, when we were all finished, we roasted the pumpkin seeds and had a delicious bedtime snack! I love fall!

Here are a few pictures from our evening of pumpkin carving fun:

Autumn wanted her pumpkin to look like a cat. I helped her a little with sketching it out, but she carved almost all of it all by herself! She was very proud!

Bear had a little more help... He drew out his vampire pumpkin idea, but I did most of the actual carving. It was his idea to add the fake blood to the fangs! : )

This tiny teeny mini jack-o-lantern is Shiloh's. So cute!

The big pumpkin that was supposed to be Jason's ended up getting kind of smooshy and disgusting on the porch before we got around to carving it, so we decided to share!

This one is Norah's. I don't know if you can tell, but the stuff on the top is supposed to be her crazy hair!

And a pumpkin family portrait...

Now I am off to come up with some sort of last-minute makeshift costumes for the little bits, and also hopefully to take a few pictures of Shiloh at the studio at some point today. He is 3 months old now, believe it or not, and long overdue for some new photographs!
